This journey began years ago when a close friend from my time in the Marine Corps, Kirk Kirkpatrick, introduced me to the soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera. While I didn’t realize it then, that moment planted the first seed of what would later become Phantom’s Perturbatio. My fascination with the story grew over time, as I watched the movie adaptation, explored recordings of live productions, and eventually found the breathtaking Royal Albert Hall performance.
It wasn’t until a few months ago, after spending days immersed in the soundtrack, that inspiration truly struck. A vivid dream about a my Phantom woke me in the early hours of the morning, and I immediately began writing. That dream, coupled with the years of admiration for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s work, led me to create something uniquely my own—a new take on the Phantom’s story that I am thrilled to share with the world.
To Andrew Lloyd Webber, whose genius brought the Phantom to life for so many, and to my Marine Corps buddy, Kirk. who first introduced me to that world, I owe my deepest gratitude. This journey would not have begun without you.
The Phantom’s world in this production also takes on a new dimension. Instead of solely controlling the productions on stage, their power extends to shaping the theater itself—bending it to their will as an extension of their own soul. This reimagining not only explores the depths of the Phantom's character but also delves into how love, loss, and obsession intertwine in their haunted existence.
This is a story of transformation, both for the characters and for the audience. I hope that, as you step into this world, you'll see not just a reimagined Phantom, but a new perspective on a timeless story.
